Stories from the Saddle: A Horseback Journey Across the American West with Meriwether Lewis Hardie
Join us for an afternoon with friend of the farm Meriwether Lewis Hardie, a writer, land steward, and strategist working at the intersection of agriculture, conservation, and rural communities. Meriwether will share stories from the five-plus-month horseback journey she completed across the American West in 2025, during which she spoke with farmers, ranchers, landowners, land stewards, and members of Indigenous communities about growing food, water rights, land management, and the region’s changing future. The expedition is helping inform a book she is currently writing about land use, water, belonging, and rural change in the West.
